Best Man Speech Outline

Writing a best man speech outline can help in setting up your speech structure to make it flow easier and give you the best opportunity to live up to your 'best man stature'. A basic best man speech outline contains the following:
  1. Formal Introduction -Needs to be very short and sweet. Here you need to formally introduce yourself as the best man  (your name) and give toasts to the bride and bridesmaids (also mention how beautiful the bride looks) Basically you want to get all the formalities out of the way early on in the introduction. Another tip is also recognising the mother of the bride and also the mother of the groom for their participation in the wedding and anybody else that you/groom knows of.
  2. Back Story - Aim for between 1-3 mins. As best man you need to explain how you personally know the groom and tell a quick funny story about him and the bride. This funny story should be able to be tied into your 'Ending' as a funny clincher.
  3. Content - Aim for 3 mins. The stories need to be very short and should be a minute or less in length. This would be typically stories or recollections you had of the groom only. Do not bring up past girlfriends or ex-wifes etc.
  4. Ending - 1-2 minutes. The ending should be a funny joke of the groom but tied into the 'back story'. The aim of the ending is to leave on a 'high' and have everybody from nieces and nephews to grandma in tears laughing!. Hopefully you will have a standing ovation for your best man speech.
If you are having writers block and can not think of any content or any funny back story to include in your speech for your groom; then do not start stressing. There is a 'universal' Best man speech template available that has a money back guarantee that provides all content that will fill in your blank looking piece of paper within 5 minutes.
